Soft Skills and Leadership Training Workshop: July 21-23

In partnership with the African Science Leadership Programme, ASI is organsing a 3-day workshop as part of a joint career development and leadership initiative for early career African scientists.

The workshop, to be held from July 21-23 at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), is aimed at providing early career scientists in the West African sub-region with soft skills needed for professional growth and career development.

The workshop will involve an approach that cycles theory, application and reflection. Participants will be challenged to work collaboratively to design initiatives that advance new paradigms for African science.

Detailed information on the workshop can be found here.

The workshop is open to early career researchers (PhD holders or equivalent qualification) in West African institutions with a compelling vision for the development of research projects, programmes, human capacity, specific policies or societal structures. (High quality applications from researchers based in other regions of Africa will also be considered).

Individuals interested in attending are required to download, complete, and submit application forms by 12pm GMT on May 15. Application forms and further instructions for applying can be found here.
