It has now been several weeks since the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), a coalition of Nigerian academic staff, went on strike in demand for better funding for the nation`s tertiary institutions that would create better enabling atmosphere for teaching and research at international levels in Nigeria. Ikhide Imumorin the major problem is more a lack of will from the universities management.
Today, we are excited to present Professor Owoyele, a professor of physiology at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and a visiting Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, USA. His research works to find a solution to pain perception.
He wanted to become a medical doctor, but happily for biology, he never managed to pass the admission test.
