Inauguration of a new equipment in Yaounde
The Centre Pasteur du Cameroun as the National Reference and Public Health Laboratory inaugurated on 18th July, 2018 a magpix equipment acquired thanks to the Japanese government's donation of 56 million CFA francs. This immunology platform will significantly improve the quality of research and public health activities.
As part of the launch of the immuno platform's activities, 3 projects have been launched: the multiplex detection of arboviruses to improve the diagnostic algorithm of the WHO FJ NRL; the determination of inflammatory biomarkers of hepatocellular carcinomas, and the detection/quantification of immune markers of malaria severity in children. The preliminary results were presented during the ceremony.
The inauguration took place in the presence of the Secretary of State for Public Health, Alim Hayatou representing the MINSANTE, His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan, Kunio Okamura, and the Representative of His Excellency the Ambassador of France.
