Macoura Gadji, from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, received the André Gouaze Prize, as the best promotion winner of the 19th competition for the agrégation of human medicine, pharmacy, odontostomatology, veterinary medicine and animal production.
Macoura Gadji applied in the pharmacy section, specializing in biological haematology, to the competition held in Libreville, Gabon, from 5th to 14th November 2018. He received the prize, worth two million CFA francs, from Jean De Dieu Moukagni-Iwangou, Minister of State in charge of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Gabon, and Bertrand Mbatchi, Secretary General of CAMES.
He had presented in his file:
- 85 papers in international conferences;
- 12 memoirs supervision;
- 26 publications in impact factor journals;
- 16 publications in addition to the number required by CAMES;
- 6 PhD supervisions;
- 3 patents.
The André Gouaze Prize was created by decision n°004/2010 of the Council of Ministers of CAMES, in Ndjamena on 7th May 2010, to reward the best winner of the agrégation competition in health sciences, all sections combined. It is awarded on the basis of an analysis of the files of all first ranked, in accordance with the procedures defined by a previously established evaluation grid. The 2016 prize was awarded to Ayssiwede Simplice Bosco of Benin from the Interstate School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine in Dakar.
