DAPA DIALLO

Dapa Aly Diallo is a Professor of hematology and medical oncologist at the University of Science, Technology and Technology of Bamako, Mali. He is also head of the hematology and medical oncology department at the Point G CHU in Bamako, director general of the Center for Research and Control of Sickle Cell Disease (CRLD) in Bamako.

He is the author or co-author of more than 130 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Blood, Current Opinion in Hematology, Circulation, PLoS Medicine, JID, Lancet Hematology, La Revue de Médecine Interne, PLoS One, New England Journal of Medicine.

Holder of the Award of Excellence of the Agence universitaire de la francophonie in 2008, he is a member of several learned societies, scientific committees and boards of directors. He chairs the French-speaking African Society of Hematology (SAFHEMA) and the Malian Society of Hematology and Oncology (So.Ma.H.O.).

He is a foreign correspondent member of the National Academy of Medicine of France, and Knight of the Merit of the health of Mali and of the French Legion of Honor.
