LAMINE GUEYE

Lamine Gueye is a medical doctor, neurologist and neurophysiologist. After het get a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Aix-Marseille II, France, he returned to Senegal where he was recruited to the faculty of medicine of the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar.

After graduating to the rank of university professor, he held various university positions: Director of Health Training and Research Unit at Gaston Berger University, Saint-Louis, Rector, then President of the Assembly of this same university.

He is today the Rector of the Alioune Diop University of Bambey. He is also the director of the international joint research unit "Environment Health Societies" which associates CNRS (France), CNRST (Burkina Faso), Gaston Berger University, University Cheikh Anta Diop and the University of Science and Technology of Bamako (Mali).
