ARTHUR ZANG
Arthur Zang is one among a new generation of African social entrepreneurs who are determined to build high-tech commercial startups while helping their fellow citizens.
Computer design engineer and biomedical engineering scientist, he invented the Cardio-Pad in 2011 in order to overcome the deficit of cardiologists in his country, Cameroon.
Thanks to this invention, in 2012 he founded the Himore Medical company. After the launch of the Cardio-Pad, he set up the first cardiac insurance for low-income people. This service called Africa Cardiac Care is an annual subscription-based health program at less than $ 60 a year. The program, which has already benefited more than 1,600 people in Cameroon, is supported by Himore Medical where Arthur Zang works full-time as chief executive officer and project manager.
