UQAM’s central campus and its Pierre-Dansereau Science Complex are located in the heart of two of central Montreal’s liveliest districts: the Quartier Latin [Latin Quarter] and the Quartier des spectacles [Entertainment District]. Montreal, the capital of Quebec, is a major university and industrial centre.

YAS_NA 2020 is an initiative of the online media Afriscitech, already organizing the YASE 2018 conference - Young African Scientists in Europe / Jeunes chercheurs adricains en Europe. The event is organized by the Université du Québec à Montréal.

YAS_NA 2020 will provide access to information, present initiatives and foster networking so that young African scientists in North America are better aware of opportunities to participate in the scientific and technological advancement of Africa. Special consideration will be given to young female African scientists.
